This is a weekly ride generally for an hour and is a steady speed circuit around Horton Country Park near Epsom. Meet at Cheam Village crossroads at 7:15 pm or at Hook Road Arena roundabout at 7:30 pm.

When: Every Thursday evening @ 7.30pm.

Meeting Point: Entrance to Hook Road Arena on Horton Lane (Between Chessington and Epsom)

Length: 90 mins / 25 – 35km.

About:  Paceline is a fast paced group training ride, completing a course of five to seven laps up and down Horton Lane and its roundabouts.  It isn’t a chaingang, and everyone can either sit in the group or take turns as and when they wish.  Depending on turnout, the ride will tend to split into different paces groups as the laps progress and groups tend to find their own pace that allows them to stay together.

The laps provide a great training challenge, as the first half of each lap is a long uphill drag and then the pace picks up on the return leg back down to the start.

Safety: The road circuit is wide enough to allow a safe riding environment.  It is a public road and, like all club rides, members are expected to obey the highway code whilst on the ride.  As we take in many roundabouts, it is important to respect the right of way of vehicles entering in and out of the roundabouts and communicate approaching cars clearly to the rest of the group.

Lights should always be carried.
