The committee has arranged two free social events in July and is keen for members to take advantage of them.
You are all encouraged to let the organisers know if you can attend or not by the dates below so that arrangements can be made for refreshments and other cost commitments.
The first is the “Early Summer morning ride to Kent and social event” which will take place on Sunday 1 July 2018. Most of our rides head South or West from Kingston so, for a change, we thought we’d offer an opportunity to go East and explore some fantastic country lanes of North Kent. We will meet outside the WHSmith at Cheam crossroads at 09:00.
To quench your thirst after a lumpy ride, we have arranged a social event at The Hope pub in Carshalton, where you’ll be offered refreshments and a buffet.
It is aimed at club members of all abilities and we hope you’ll come along. More details of the ride routes, a route to the meeting point in Cheam from East Sheen and a route from the pub can be found on the ‘Events’ page https://pearsoncyclingclub.com/event/july-1st-2018-social-ride/. Please let the committee know if you can attend or not, either on the Club Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1813425868966700/) or by email to the club gmail address firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 22 June.
The second is the “PCC Cycle Training Day” arranged at the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit at 11-12 Springfield Rd, Hayes UB4 0JS on Sunday 15 July 2018.
PCC has hired the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit from 1pm to 5pm. We have a trainer on site for coaching/clinics and there will be lots of opportunities to practice group riding with a wee bit of racing thrown in. The afternoon is targeted at all cycling abilities, so this is a great opportunity to ride the circuit if you have not done so before or for those keen to learn/improve technique.
For anyone that wants to bring their families to the event, there is a clubhouse where we will have cake and refreshments. It will also be possible to let little ones ride on the apron of the circuit – under the watchful eye of parents.
More details can be can be found on the ‘Events’ page https://pearsoncyclingclub.com/event/pcc-hillingdoncircuit/ and you should have received an email from the Club on 11 June.
Please let the committee know if you can attend or not, either on the Club Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1024035441082952/) or by email to the club gmail address email@example.com by Monday 2 July.
